What is fitness?

Fitness is not just about achieving that 'beach body' or conforming to an image that for some may be hard to obtain.

For me, fitness is about having a healthy body, a body that maintains a strong and healthy heart, strong lungs and muscles that will ensure that you can get up that hill, climb that staircase and enjoy life.

You don't have to live in a body that struggles and gets out of breath. You can change things. You can make it better.

By making changes to your diet, by taking regular exercise and by putting in your best effort things can be different.

It doesn't matter if someone else can do more, it's your best effort that matters.

Fitness coaching is about inspiring you to do well. I will be encouraging you, helping you, not bullying you into doing those press ups or shouting when you find it tough.

I believe that you can achive incredible things and I believe that an overweight person with a previously sedentary lifestyle can change their body, become healthy and run a marathon.

Does that sound impossible? I know that is true because I am that person.

Because I struggled, I understand just how hard it is.
